Description:

A granite stone on a concrete base with wording etched into the front and back of the stone. The marker is placed on a planted green that separates a busy main street from a small parking lot for a local business.

 

Wording:

Front: In memory of Maurice J. Burke W.T. 1st Class on destroyer Maddox U.S. Navy, born August 26, 1899. Lost in Action July 11, 1943.
