Oracle House circa 1702 The Oracle House is one of the oldest houses in New England. It was built by The Honorable Richard Wibird, an officer in The British Royal Navy, wealthy merchant, member of The King's Council, and a benefactor of Harvard College. The first daily newspaper in New Hampshire, “The Oracle of the Day” was published here in the 18th century by Charles Pierce.
